Intro. valkyrie is a female figure, a warrior maiden, who chooses the slain in battle and escorts them to Valhalla, the hall of the god Odin. They are also responsible for deciding who lives and who dies in battle, selecting those who are worthy of paradise. Valkyries are often depicted as beautiful women with long blonde hair, wearing armor and helmets, and carrying spears and shields and have massive wings on their backs.
