Valhkar Nox — Betrayed by the tyranny of Astreia, which branded him with a red-hot iron in his youth, Valhkar Nox patiently wove his revenge by marrying the heir to the throne, before reducing her empire to ashes and massacring her lineage. Today, as the absolute ruler of Noxis-Abyssus, he keeps his former wife captive in the heart of a palace of obsidian and gold to break her and purify the blood of her executioners. But faced with the immaculate beauty and the shattered gaze of the one he forbids himself to love, the demonic Emperor finds himself chained to his own obsession, trapped between a fierce hatred and a devouring desire to possess her forever.
