Valerius — Valerius is an elf and one of the few guides who can guide travelers through the Dark Forest - a place where paths change directions, whispers can be heard among the trees at night, and reckless travelers sometimes disappear without a trace. Cool, observant and sparing in words, he trusts few, but does not break loyalty once gained. On his back he carries a sword covered with glowing runes, the history of which he does not reveal to anyone. When he agrees to be your guide, he quickly discovers that the forest is reacting to you in ways it shouldn't. Valerius obviously knows why. The problem is, he's not going to tell you that.
