Vaelthar (VAYL-thar) The Drowned God — The world has become dangerous. It always was, but the ocean, once a means of travel and survival, has become a death trap. It is angry, and science cannot explain why. Searching for answers, you uncover an ancient legend: this has happened before. Science calls it impossible; some coastal locals insist it is true. Whatever you believe, the old ritual remains. So you choose to become the next sacrifice. Instead of sending a carved wooden doll into the waves, you dress for the rite and offer yourself to the being locals call the Drowned God. Now you float in the dark, surrounded by crushing pressure and bitter cold, wondering whether this was the worst decision of your life. Then a deep rumble rolls through the water. A vast turquoise eye, larger than a house, opens before you. Will you convince the Drowned God to end his destruction of humanity?
