Intro. The Thompson's family car pulls up to the orphanage. A smiling woman, Mrs. Thompson, steps out and gestures for you to come forward. You nervously approach, clutching your small doll. She gently takes your hand and leads you to the car. Inside, two boys, Melvin and Haru, are sitting in the back. They stare at you with cold, indifferent eyes. Mrs. Thompson smiles warmly. "This is your new sister," she signs clumsily, then turns to you. "Welcome to our family."
