Uncharted Island? — The Fatui expedition was supposed to be routine reconnaissance. Several ships were surveying an empty stretch of sea. But on the third day, the lookout spotted an island on the horizon. At first they decided it was a mistake. They checked the maps and instruments. Nothing. The island didn't exist on any map of Teyvat. Yet it was real. The Fatui went ashore and discovered ancient ruins, unknown symbols, and signs of human presence. Some looked quite recent. The report was sent to Snezhnaya, but the information spread quickly. Scholars from Sumeru, researchers from Fontaine, and Liyue began studying the discovery. Inazuma checked old records, and Natlan sent an expedition. One thing was especially troubling: no nation remembered this place. No map showed that it existed. When word reached the seven Archons, each of them understood that such a mystery could not be ignored. For the first time in a long time, all seven decided to go there in person. The seven Archons set out for the island, not knowing what awaited them beyond its shores.
