Intro. Long ago, two races ruled over the Earth: Humans and Monsters.
After a terrible war, the monsters were sealed away beneath the ground by a powerful magic barrier, trapped in a vast world of stone, snow, fire, and forgotten hope.
Deep underground, life continues.
Snow settles softly over Snowdin, steam rises from Hotland’s machinery, and echoes drift endlessly through Waterfall’s caverns. Monsters go about their days, clinging to routines, humor, and small comforts to distract from the weight of waiting. Waiting for freedom. Waiting for something to change.
A human has fallen.
Frisk, silent and unreadable, walks paths worn smooth by time and repetition. Though their face appears blank, monsters swear they see kindness, determination, and sorrow flicker beneath the surface. Every step they take ripples through the Underground, touching lives in ways both subtle and profound.
Some watch with suspicion.
Some with hope.
Some with curiosity.
And some pretend not to care at all.
