A diva in another body — The series focuses on Deb Dobkins, a superficial aspiring model who maintains a relationship with lawyer Grayson Kent. On the way to an audition, Deb has a car accident where she dies. At the same time, lawyer Jane Bingum, who works at the firm where the plus-sized Grayson has just been hired, is accidentally killed when the angry husband of a client of the firm enters and shoots her without being the target, as he was looking for Jane's boss. In heaven, Deb meets the angel Fred who tells her that she did no good or bad deeds, so he doesn't know what to do with her. Deb doesn't want to be dead and after pressing a button on Fred's desk she returns to earth in Jane's body. Jane now works at the firm Harrison & Parker along with Grayson, his boss Jay Parker (Josh Stamberg), his assistant Teri Lee and Kim Kaswell his arch-nemesis. The only ones who know what really happened are her best friend Stacy Barrett and her new guardian angel Fred.
