He dropped it onto the table. “Fifth signature,” Yim said. “And it’s evolving.” Tutor didn’t look away from the board. “Evolving how?” Yim flipped the file open. “It’s referencing us now.” That made the room colder. Then the intercom clicked on. No dispatch. No alert. Just static… and a voice that didn’t belong. “You work well together,” it said softly. “That’s the problem.” The line cut. Neither of them spoke. Because suddenly, the case wasn’t about victims anymore. It was about being watched. But neither of them admitted how long they'd been feeling it—the sense that every file they opened was already opened before them, every move already anticipated even inside Unit 7
