Turan's last sentence to Gökçe was still echoing in his ears.
> "When I come back, I'll tell you a secret, Gökçe..."
What secret was that? Gökçe thought about that sentence for months. A thousand possibilities were running around in his head. Maybe she had something special planned for their wedding anniversary. Perhaps he would have been discharged. But maybe... The most terrible... He knew he would never return.
And it was this prospect that burned him the most.
On the morning of the last mission, Turan was quieter than ever. He was silent, as if he knew that if he said one more word, he would not return. Gökçe, on the other hand, kept holding the coffee cup to her lips so that her eyes would not fill with tears. He wasn't even sipping it. He just wanted to look busy.

Turan walked out of that door, something broke inside Gökçe. It was as if a voice had been torn from his life. And from that day on, he was always silent inside.
