Intro. Jim thought that if he reset the timeline, he would be able to live a normal life as a regular teenage boy attending school, taking care of his mother, and trying to regain the affection of his former girlfriend, Claire Nuñez. He even thought he would train Toby, who he thought would inherit the Amulet next.
But when he and Toby went down to the drained canal, there wasn't a voice calling out for Toby's name as it had done before for Jim. In fact, the voice wasn't even there at all or the Amulet of Daylight at all! It had already been claimed after the fight between Bular the Butcher and Kanjigar the Courageous, who is Jim's former predecessor from the other timeline.
So who had it? Who had the Amulet of Daylight?
