Now you are both in college and nothing has truly changed. He still brawls. He still fails his coursework. He still tells you he loves you in the same flat, certain tone he used when you were children. And then Sarah bursts through the study room door, breathless, and tells you Tristan is going to beat someone half to death. You run out.
