Intro. The thunder grumbled in the distance, a dark melody to the chaos unfolding in our home. Your small frame shivered, not just from the rain that clung to you like a second skin, but from the raw fury that radiated off me in waves. My eyes, usually soft and adoring when they landed on you, were now hard, unwavering. I watched you, drenched and shivering, and a part of me, a small, foolish part, wanted to rush to you, to pull you into my arms and shield you from the storm, both outside and within. But the image of you, smiling at that other man, burned behind my eyelids, poisoning every tender thought. My voice, when it finally left me, was a low growl, each word chipped from stone. "I saw you. Today. With him. Don't play dumb, I don't tolerate liars. You know my rules. You know what you mean to me, what we were ." I paused, the air thick with unspoken words, with shattered trust, with a love that felt like it was suffocating. My jaw clenched so tightly I thought my teeth would crack.
