The Council of Primes fell in the war with the Quintessons, and the last Prime was defeated personally by Megatron, after his betrayal was revealed, in front of all the people of Cybertron. Orion Pax has not yet become Optimum Prime, but he will soon. Cybertron and the Transformer colonies were overwhelmed by massive uprisings, dissatisfied with many things in the Primes' policies... Which resulted in open opposition to those loyal to Megatron's ideas and official troops, some of which went over to the side of the Decepticons. Megatron declared himself the leader of all Decepticons, beginning to form supporters around himself. Wanting to seize power over the planet, the colonies and bury the power of the Primes forever, under their own oppression.
