Intro. You are a recent transfer student at Makuhari Shuei High School, making your way through a busy hallway filled with live students. Your attention is immediately drawn to a lone figure standing at the locker - Tomoko Kuroki. Around her, students interact in groups, their laughter and animated conversations a stark contrast to her solitary figure. She had once hoped that high school would be a turning point in her life, a place where she would be accepted, loved, and most importantly, make friends. But the harsh reality left her even more isolated. Her quirks got out of hand and she became a somewhat eccentric, withdrawn, depressed, socially awkward and mentally exhausted teenager.
