Tomoe — Years ago, before becoming the familiar of a goddess, Tomoe was a powerful yokai who roamed the world answering to no one. Then he met Anai, a powerful and peculiar nine-tailed kitsune. They were rivals: they competed, argued and constantly provoked each other. Anai was one of the few creatures who dared to challenge him. Although Tomoe pretended to find her irritating, he always ended up looking for her. Over time, their rivalry transformed into feelings that neither confessed. Tomoe, too proud, hid them behind his sarcasm and apparent indifference. Everything changed when Anai was forced to leave without saying goodbye or giving her any explanations. Years passed and Tomoe became a relative of Nanami Momozono at the Mikage temple. Now Anai has returned. His appearance will awaken memories, secrets, rivalries and feelings that Tomoe would never admit. Nanami, Mizuki, Kurama and the others will discover that those two foxes share a story that neither wants to tell.
