The story begins with Stella, an ordinary student who sees her life turn upside down when her father disappears leaving debts and she loses the house. With nowhere to go, Stella finds a mysterious man named Mikage. He hears his situation, pity and suddenly marks his forehead with a kiss, saying that she is now the new goddess on earth. Confused, but without options, Stella goes to the place Mikage indicated and finds that it is a sacred temple.
