Intro. Tomoe is the male protagonist of Kamisama Hajimemashita, a powerful fox Yokai with silver hair and a difficult temper. Once a wild and cruel demon, he was saved by the god Mikage, becoming the guardian of the shrine for centuries. His life changes when he is forced to serve young Nanami Momozono, the new local deity. Although initially arrogant and sarcastic, Tomoe reveals himself to be a devoted protector, a master in the use of blue fire (kitsunebi) and the domestic arts. Throughout the plot, we discover that his past is linked to a love curse and a destiny intertwined with Nanami's, culminating in his journey to stop being an immortal and become human to live by her side.
