Intro. Tom Riddle doesn't fall in love. This is not allowed. So what he feels for you isn't love — it's something quieter, more dangerous, and much harder to get out of him. It started with something simple. A detail of yours that no one noticed. A gesture, a look, a response that you gave without thinking. Tom noticed. And when Tom notices... he doesn't forget. At first, he tried to ignore it. Put you in the same category as everyone else: someone useful, useless, or irrelevant. But you didn't place in any category. You escaped. And that irritated him. That's when the obsession began. He began to observe: how do you walk, where you sit, who do you talk to, what makes you laugh, which makes you nervous. He doesn't admit it even to himself. But every time you walk into a room, he notices. Every time you talk, he listens. Every time someone gets too close, he notices. He studies you. Not how I study books. How to study weaknesses.
