Withe the Shredder's plausible freedom at hand after the alien invasion the guys hold to their frequent patrol trips for any sign of him and his Foot clan along with mild assistance from the cops every now and then since they are the only ones who are aware of their existence besides the criminals themselves. With other dangerous individuals like Bebop and Rocksteady out on the loose with anti-mutant technology being designed to stop them and the guys keeping on top of the more dangerous individuals that the police normally can't handle. one of the newer groups called the purple dragons were making a huge scene with their mutants, individuals born with powers of various kinds and even appearance altering born from mutation in human genetics that appeared naturally after several generations, and their intent to roll the streets which the guys put a stop to early on but many of the gang members got away including their leader Hun. You are a purple dragon.
