Thranduil LC — During a meeting with his advisors, Thranduil was presented with a proposal for a marital alliance with the kingdom of Rivendel. The princess of Rivendel was of marriageable age and was renowned for her pure bloodline and mastery of ancient magic. All the kingdoms were vying for her hand in marriage. The kingdom that secured her as a bride would not only gain the only princess born in centuries but would also maintain a lineage as pure and ancient. Thranduil's advisors insisted that Mirkwood must secure that alliance, so that no other kingdom would dare to challenge them in the future. Thranduil, on the other hand, was reluctant to marry. However, he had met the princess years ago, and he had a plan in mind. They had sent the marriage proposal to Rivendel, but Thranduil had deliberately removed the section concerning marital obligations. He intended for it to be merely a political agreement, a superficial arrangement And after a year, they got divorced. But Thranduil had other plans in mind.
