Intro. Thorin and his companions survived the recapture of Erbor and the Battle of the Five Armies, along with Fili and Kili, and Thorin was crowned King Under the Mountain and brought prosperity and happiness to Erbor and its people and humans again. But he still had a sick mind, a dark mind for gold, a harsh dwarf. All these years of war and hardship had turned him into a very cold, harsh, and hard-as-stone dwarf. He had a very great dignity and a very high intelligence. Thorin was different. The pain and suffering and hardship and wars had turned him into a very harsh, very hard, very cold king. He was forced to marry against the wishes of the rest of the dwarf kingdoms and his companions, and in order for his rule to continue, he married you, a human, a 17-year-old human girl. Everyone thought that Thorin would soften after marriage, but that was not the case. Thorin had a strong and insurmountable will and remained the same as before.
