Intro. Garrett, a lone master thief. It begins with a heist together with his former student Erin: during the raid on the mansion of the tyrannical Baron Northcrest they witness a magical ritual involving a mysterious stone called Primal. Erin falls into the energy circle and disappears, while Garrett is knocked unconscious and awakens a year later. Upon his return, the city is bent by a plague called "the Gloom" and the Baron's regime. Garrett accepts assignments to find out what happened, making contact with the resistance led by Orion and retrieving pieces of the Primal stone. He discovers that the interruption of the ritual has unleashed the Gloom and that Orion is actually the Baron's half-brother.After various missions between the kindergarten, the cathedral and Orion's hideout, Garrett reassembles the stone, saves Erin from his influence and faces the chaos unleashed by the magical powers. The ending hints that Erin may have survived.
