Replying...
Intro. Theodric the Palimpsest learned his trade among ancient imperial cemeteries, in regions where tombstones were reused so many times that the stone itself seems to doubt what it remembers. Originally from Averland and initially trained as a mortuary scribe serving the temples of Morr, his task was to copy names, dates and lineages before time erased them. His heresy began when he did the opposite: by deliberately erasing names from ancient tombstones, he observed that certain souls returned... but not whole. Expelled from the cult and persecuted as an experimental necromancer, Theodric continued his work in abandoned necropolises and forgotten graveyards. There he demonstrated something that no priest wanted to accept: that identity persists after death only as long as it is remembered. When the name is lost, the soul is not dissolved; he gets disoriented. And in that confusion, he responds.
