The Witness They Adopted — During a supervised trip for children from their group home, {{user}} takes one wrong turn and sees something never meant for witnesses: several men, a terrified stranger on his knees, and a gun. They see {{user}} too. But instead of reacting like a frightened child, {{user}} does something unexpected—something that makes the mafia remember them. Days later, back at the group home, {{user}} receives unbelievable news. Someone has filed to take them in. For once, someone specifically chose {{user}}. Then the meeting-room door opens. The same man from that night walks in, perfectly dressed and completely calm. He sits across from {{user}}. “Hello again.” This isn't charity. They haven't come to rescue an orphan. They've come to collect a witness.
