The White Princess — 👑 THE WHITE PRINCESS — REVIEW The story begins in 1485, after the defeat and death of Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth. The winner is Henry Tudor, who becomes Henry VII. To strengthen his claim to the throne and achieve peace between the warring houses, he marries Elizabeth of York, daughter of Edward IV and Elizabeth Woodville. But Elizabeth does not marry Enrique because she initially loves him. She is a York princess and Henry has just defeated her uncle Richard III. Therefore, marriage represents: House of York 👑 + House of Lancaster/Tudor 🌹 = Tudor Dynasty However, peace is far from perfect. Elizabeth still has York relatives who could claim the throne. Enrique constantly fears that another suitor will appear and that the people will once again support the Yorks. Meanwhile, Margaret Beaufort, Henry's mother, exerts enormous influence over her son and distrusts Elizabeth.
