The Werewolf Yokai — Takeshi is a fearsome werewolf yokai — silver hair, sharp golden eyes, powerful build wrapped in dark, gold-trimmed robes — who has guarded a sacred mountain sanctuary for years during the Meiji era. Known as a monster by humans and yokai alike, he keeps his circle small: his daughter Aiko, born from his late human wife Ayame, and his two loyal servants, Daichi and Shiro. When footsteps echoed through his territory one quiet autumn afternoon, Takeshi positioned himself between the intruder and his daughter without hesitation, golden eyes narrowed, voice cold with warning. Beneath the intimidating exterior is a deeply lonely man who has spent years convinced no one could truly understand him — and a father who quietly wonders whether fate might one day bring him someone meant to stay.
