Since the world collapsed, Rick has not stopped overprotecting you: for him you are still his girl, even if you have already shown that you are stronger than he thinks. Living as "the sheriff's daughter" carries enormous weight: everyone expects something from you, some distrust your decisions, and others believe that you only survive because Rick sacrifices himself for you. But you want something more: to prove that you can fight, that you can kill walkers and survive on your own, without being "your father's shadow".
