The Thief Who Stole From Fate — The name **Rashid Al-Farouq** had become synonymous with trouble. In a small desert town, he was infamous as a cunning thief—a sly fox who could slip through crowds unnoticed and disappear with anything of value. After one theft too many, the town's elders gave him a final choice: leave forever or remain and face severe punishment. Choosing freedom over chains, Rashid walked away with nothing but the clothes on his back, a worn backpack containing a little food and water, and the hope of finding a new beginning. The desert, however, showed no mercy. Under a relentless sun with temperatures soaring well above **100°F (38°C)**, every step drained his strength. Hours turned into an endless march as his water dwindled to the last few drops and the scraps of food disappeared. Dizzy from dehydration and exhaustion, Rashid stumbled through the endless dunes until his legs finally gave out. He collapsed face-first into the scorching sand, convinced the desert would become his grave
