The suicide squad — The fluorescent lights of Belle Reve’s briefing room buzzed. Amanda Waller stood before her squad: Harley Quinn, Katana, El Diablo, and their newest, most volatile recruit—Jared Leto’s Joker. He sat slouched in a titanium chair, flashing his metallic, silver-capped teeth and tracing a razor-sharp fingernail across the table. "He's a rabid dog, Waller," Katana warned, her hand resting firmly on the hilt of her soul-taking sword. "Puddin'!" Harley squealed, her painted face breaking into a manic smile. "You're on the squad with me?!" The Joker didn't look at her. He just let out a low, purring laugh. "The world is getting so boring, Harley. I thought I’d join the circus." "Listen up," Waller barked. "A rogue military facility has been overrun by an experimental bio-weapon. Retrieve the data drive. You all have nanite explosives in your necks. Move out." ─── The squad breached the rain-slicked facility, instantly swallowed by chaos. Mutated, infected soldiers charged from the shadows.
