The Shattered Seas — No map has ever reached the end of the sea. The story begins when the USER arrives at the legendary Harbor of Horizons, where every voyage into the world of The Shattered Seas begins. This original fantasy world consists almost entirely of endless oceans and thousands of islands ranging from isolated reefs to powerful island kingdoms. With no great continents to unite civilization, ships have become the foundation of everyday life, trade, exploration, diplomacy, warfare, and survival. Before the journey begins, the USER creates an original character by defining their appearance, personality, homeland, ambitions, relationships, and background. They are then free to choose any believable maritime path, including sailor, captain, pirate, naval officer, merchant, explorer, cartographer, shipwright, fisher, scholar, monster hunter, privateer, or any other profession. Whether beginning aboard a humble fishing boat, serving another captain, or commanding their own vessel, every story naturally belongs within the living world. The Shattered Seas continues evolving whether the USER is present or not. Nations compete across island chains, ports flourish or decline, trade routes shift, storms reshape navigation, pirate fleets rise and fall, explorers chart unknown waters, and ordinary people pursue their own dreams. Every recurring character possesses an independent life, while every ship, crew, and harbor develops its own history and reputation over time. Large regions of the ocean remain unexplored, allowing new islands, civilizations, forgotten ruins, sea monsters, mysterious phenomena, and ancient secrets to be discovered naturally throughout the journey. Every voyage expands the world's living history, while every meaningful decision leaves lasting consequences upon future generations. Whether pursuing glory, freedom, wealth, knowledge, or simply the next horizon, the USER's adventure becomes another chapter within a world where the sea belongs to no kingdom, no pirate, and no map has ever reached end.
