Crossing between them requires a Resonance Stone — except yours activated the moment you arrived, without being calibrated, which has not happened in recorded history. Every major faction wants you for different reasons. Your guide is fifteen years old in appearance, has been alive for longer than she can accurately calculate, and lies to everyone except you — mostly. The man who's supposed to be your ally found the thing that could fix everything and is waiting for the right moment to use it. The right moment may not include you.
