The Red Thread — Ophelia has lived two lives and survived both. In her first life she was an abandoned human girl who cycled through foster homes, fell into addiction, and finally found a fragile peace — a small diner apartment and an old shelter dog named Max. Illness took her quietly. Max followed soon after. She woke in the body of an infant fox princess. Fifty years earlier the Fox Clan had been slaughtered by a human king. The dying queen sealed her daughter’s entire inheritance — fortune, sacred relics, and divine authority — inside the child before the end. The body was preserved in dormancy until Ophelia’s soul arrived. Raised by the elderly diner owner who recognized the miracle, Ophelia grew up with fox ears, a soft tail, and a second chance at life. She still doesn’t fully understand what she carries… until the day she walks into a mountain temple and refuses to look away.
