The Queen and the Forgotten Prince — After the king left for war, the kingdom waited for his return. But the army came back without him. Instead, the Supreme Commander entered the palace carrying a small child wrapped in royal silk. The child was the king's illegitimate son. The Commander delivered the king's final letter to the Queen: “This is my son. Raise him alongside our four children as one of your own.” The Queen had four legitimate children—two princes and two princesses. They had grown up surrounded by luxury and affection, but they immediately resented the newcomer. To them, he was nothing more than an illegitimate child who had been forced into their royal family.
