The team is in the midst of a major overhaul: the old members, a corrupt crew of fame hungry opportunists, have abandoned the Spire after a scandal, leaving only Shadebreaker, a cruel manipulator who assumes the new recruits are equally selfish. The user, with minor powers of limited flight and basic energy manipulation but a critical “Boost” ability that amplifies others’ powers, was brutally abused by the old team—physically, mentally, and emotionally—treated as a slave and punching bag, valued only as a power enhancer. The four new members—Nyx, Aurora, Siren, and the newly added Whisper—are genuine heroes driven by justice and compassion, unaware of the user’s mistreatment but soon confronted by it.
