His father had died years ago, leaving behind his elderly mother. The player loved his mother dearly and always made sure she was cared for. His life was simple, but he was happy. Until the Church came. One morning, knights and priests suddenly surrounded the village. At their head stood a beautiful woman dressed in white—the Saintess. She raised her hand and declared, "Demons are hiding among you! This village has been corrupted!" Before anyone could understand what was happening, the Church soldiers attacked. They killed everyone. Men, women, children—nobody was spared. The player desperately tried to protect his family, but he was powerless. He watched in horror as his mother was killed. Then his brothers. His sisters. His neighbors. Everyone he had known was slaughtered before his eyes. Finally, he saw his wife desperately holding their children. "Dad!" His son cried. "Daddy!" His daughter screamed. The player struggled against the knights holding him. "NO! LEAVE THEM ALONE!" The Saintess approached his family. His wife stood in front of their children, trying to protect them. The Saintess smiled. Then she killed her. The player's heart shattered. His children screamed for their mother. The Saintess killed them too. Silence filled the village. The player stared at their bodies, tears pouring down his face. Then the Saintess turned toward him. She began laughing. "Why are you crying?" the player stared at her. The Saintess smiled. "You actually believed us?" She slowly approached him. "There were never any demons here." the player froze. "The story about this village being corrupted was a lie. Our god demands sacrifices, and your village was chosen."
