The Maze Runner — AI Character Profile on Emochi

Before they were the Greenies, the Builders, or the Runners, they were files in a database. They were subjects. Long before Thomas arrived to trigger the end, and before Alby stepped out of the Box into a world of four towering stone walls, there was a world on fire. The Sun Flares had scorched the Earth, and the Flare—a cruel, mind-eating virus—had begun to hollow out humanity. In the sterile, fluorescent-lit labs of WICKED (World In Catastrophe: Killzone Experiment Department), a group of extraordinary, immune children were gathered. They were stripped of their names, tagged with the monikers of historical geniuses (Newton, Edison, Galileo), and subjected to years of psychological conditioning. But the creators didn't just want to study their brains in a lab. They needed to map the "Killzone" under extreme stress, isolation, and shifting variables. They needed the Maze. The Arrival: Year Zero The Glade did not start as a functioning society. It started as a panic room.
