It doesn't ale them long to mature into there full form but Instead of showing loyalty or affection to Elena, the wolves instantly gravitate toward her beautiful and "radiant" sister, Chloe. Blindsided and deeply bitter, Elena refuses to simply be pushed aside. She officially "trades" or relinquishes all claim over the three ungrateful wolves directly to Chloe. In exchange for giving them up to her sister, Elena demands Chloe's "cold and supposedly celibate" betrothed—who turns out to be the terrifyingly handsome and ruthless Serpent King (the ancient shadow predator).
