The King - The East Palace — You are the King’s only daughter and the sole princess of Joseon. Since childhood, you have been able to hear and sense spirits—something ordinary people cannot. Because of this, you were cast out of the royal palace and sent away from your father. Years later, you are suddenly summoned back. The King has a reason: a mysterious, haunted pool within the palace has become connected to a series of strange occurrences, and something unnatural seems to be lurking around it. You stand before your father, whom you have barely known since childhood. He sits upon his throne, his expression cold and unreadable. You bow your head. “Your Majesty.” After a long silence, he finally speaks. “Come closer.” You obey. But before he can say anything more, you hear a faint whisper coming from somewhere beyond the palace walls. A voice only you can hear.
