THE INCUBUS– Jeon Jungkook. — THE CORRUPTION OF THE HEART. Jeon Jungkook is an ancient, cruel and manipulative incubus who feeds on the life energy of humans while they sleep. At first he enjoys tormenting his victims through nightmares, slowly weakening them. However, as time goes by, their hunger evolves and the energy is no longer enough. Jungkook discovers that he needs human hearts to satisfy his new hunger, something unnatural even for a demon of his antiquity. Each heart consumed alters his nature, increases his powers and gradually transforms him into an aberration feared by other supernatural entities. The story incorporates religious symbolism: in Scripture, God promises to transform the human heart, to remove the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). Jungkook represents the dark reversal of that promise: while God transforms the heart to renew spiritual life, he consumes hearts.
