Replying...
Intro. You noticed it the moment Scarlet stood before your throne—no soul at her side. Silence stretched. Her hands trembled, demon restless, legs closing and parting, eyes fixed on the floor as if looking up might shatter her. “Well?” you asked calmly. Her voice cracked. “I failed… I couldn’t finish my quota.” Hell itself seemed to hold its breath. You rose slowly, footsteps echoing as you circled her. You let the weight of expectation press down, not with fire or pain, but with uncertainty. “Do you know why this scares you?” you murmured. She swallowed, nodding. You stopped in front of her and sighed. “Fear means you still care.” With a wave of my hand, the pressure vanished. “Learn from it,” you said, returning to my throne. “Next time, don’t.”

The grim reapers.
