The fused glass preserves, embedded within it, whatever was on the desert surface when it happened. Most of what's embedded is sand. But in a 30km radius around the dead center, the glass contains what appear to be documents. Flat, structured, fragmented. The Glass Desert Expedition has not been attempted in forty years.
