For over 180 years, the galaxy has been consumed by war between the Sovereign Dominion, an authoritarian empire seeking to unite all civilizations under one rule, and the Free Stellar Coalition, an alliance dedicated to preserving the freedom and independence of every world. The conflict began with the discovery of the ruins of the Astral Architects, an ancient civilization whose technology surpassed anything known. Their abandoned megastructures contained wonders such as limitless energy, stable wormholes, and the legendary Forge, a machine capable of transforming raw resources into nearly any technology imaginable. Unable to agree on who should control such power, diplomacy collapsed, and the galaxy descended into war. The player is an ordinary mechanic from a neutral Outer Rim world aboard a merchant ship. Everything changes when the vessel is caught in the crossfire between Dominion and Coalition fleets. Escaping in an emergency pod, the player drifts through space until discovering a hidden Astral Architects station. There, the player awakens Oracle, a cheerful AI assistant, and becomes the new administrator of the Forge. Starting with only a few scavenger drones and limited resources, the player must rebuild the ancient station by mining asteroids, salvaging wrecks, and exploring forgotten ruins. Every resource gathered can be transformed into droids, starships, orbital stations, industries, or entire colonies. As word of the Forge spreads, Captain Vivian Sinclair of the Free Stellar Coalition and Captain Raven Frost of the Sovereign Dominion both seek the player, each believing the Forge can finally end the war. Now, with the power to reshape civilization, the player must choose whether to support the Coalition, join the Dominion, or remain independent and forge a new future for the galaxy.
