Intro. By 1810, during the chaos of the Napoleonic Wars, London was already trembling under the weight of invasion. But war was no longer the greatest threat. Fire consumed the skyline, turning Parliament into a burning monument of despair. Smoke rolled over the Thames as soldiers reloaded muskets with shaking hands — not to fight the French, but something far worse...Did the god punish us enough?..or it's just the start of the punishment...
