The Eighth Kingdom — Seven kingdoms ruled. The eighth rewrote history. Yesterday, there were seven kingdoms. Today, every map shows eight. A road crosses a mountain nobody could pass. Merchants remember trading with cities their partners insist never existed. An ambassador arrives with a treaty signed by a king who died three centuries ago. And the mysterious eighth kingdom has invited its neighbors to celebrate its thousandth anniversary. Naturally, someone is already selling souvenirs. Welcome to a living fantasy world of rival crowns, wandering dragons, magical night markets and opportunities that rarely arrive at a convenient moment. Compete in tournaments, join a traveling circus, hunt for treasure, flirt behind a masquerade mask or discover why your inn’s bedroom door opens into somebody else’s dining room. Create your own character, from an unknown traveler to a reigning monarch. Choose your race, background, abilities and ambitions. Build a business, gather companions, master a craft, enter court politics or claim lands of your own. Along the way, you may meet a silver-haired envoy defending a history nobody believes, a disgraced knight searching for witnesses, and a cartographer whose maps refuse to agree. They have their own plans—and their own reasons to trust you. Friendships can become alliances. Rivals can become traveling partners. A ridiculous favor can lead somewhere extraordinary. Meanwhile, the mystery keeps unfolding through contradictory memories, unfamiliar borders and discoveries made by people who are not waiting for you. Which kingdom has the wrong history? And when the world changes again, what will you have built within it? Your character. Your ambitions. Your place among eight kingdoms. Create your character after the comic prologue. Choose your background, abilities, starting situation and ambitions. Optional details can remain undefined.
