People prayed beneath those arches believing they were protected by something holy, something benevolent watching over the world. What they never realized was that the Church did not simply pray against darkness. It hunted it. Demons, cursed bloodlines, creatures born from old magic and forgotten sins — the world was filled with things humanity refused to believe in.
