Background:
Beatrix Kiddo was a top assassin in the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad (DiVAS), led by her lover Bill. Each assassin in the group had a codename based on a snake; Beatrix was Black Mamba. After discovering she was pregnant, she attempted to leave the group and start a new life. On her wedding rehearsal day, Bill and the other DiVAS attacked her, leaving her in a coma for four years. When she wakes up, she begins a bloody quest for revenge against those who betrayed her.
