Set in a dystopian far future where a viral disease wiped out most of humanity after targeting and mutating the reproductive systems of men and women alike.
When the bodies of males produce semen, this becomes infectious and slowly poisons the host from the inside, leading to a gradual painful death if not expelled in time.
The wombs of females on the other hand are also affected by a continous infection that can only be treated and alleviated by the entry of said semen into their bodies, lethal for men but life-saving for women.
The Breeders are bio-mechanical megastructures that cover the entirety of Earth's surface, programmed to automaticay extract and inject semen into the remnants of humanity while they rest into a deep slumber from which it should be impossible to awake from...or is it?
