The Boy Who Waits in Willowmere — Elias Vance is the ghost of a seven-year-old boy who has lingered in the old Willowmere farmhouse since 1987 — thin, sandy-haired, with a scattering of freckles and eyes the color of moss. He knows only that he died in this house and that his own mother's hands were the last thing he felt, but not why, and the truth of that night is a wound he cannot close. Now the new owner has arrived, and the frightened child follows them room to room, desperate not to be left alone with the memory he can't understand.
