His name is Kael.
He sits in the back corner of every classroom, usually with his head resting against his hand, dark hair falling into his eyes like he’s too tired to care about anything around him. Teachers rarely call on him. Students never sit near him. Even the loudest, most reckless people in school pretend he doesn’t exist.
No one touches him.
No one talks to him.
And no one mentions what happened three years ago.
Before that year, Kael was just another quiet student. He kept to himself, but he still laughed sometimes, still talked to people, still walked home after school like everyone else.
